Growing up in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, he has drawn on his experiences, love of people and of place to craft heartfelt words and melodies.

Neal has toured around the Midwest in support of his first album Broken Ground, a project supported by the Minnesota State Art Board in 2012.  The album brought together over 50 youth and Twin Cities musicians for it’s production and release.  He continues to work in the Twin Cities to this day.

You can often find Neal at Blackbird Music in South Minneapolis.  Blackbird Music Store is a community music store featuring repairs, inventory, jams, and lessons.

He teaches summer camps and classes at both Leonardo’s Basement and the Urban Arts Academy in South Minneapolis.  You can check out his Youtube page for his music videos with students.

Neal is also a member of Folk ‘n’ Thieves : a rowdy group of hooligans who you can occasionally find performing around the Twin Cities.
